MEMBERS OF THE BAND
DUKE ALEXANDER
LEAD VOCALS
Duke Ellington Alexander (Sir Duke) a versatile Soul singer was very active in the west coast music scene "back in the day". He took time away to raise, with his wife 3 beautiful daughter's.
He re-emerged 5 years ago in the Greater Toronto Area and by all accounts has not lost a step, that sweet Soul vocal is rich and enchanting.
He has the ability to take a song and really own it. Generally known as the Sweetest Man in the business, Sir Duke works and plays hard. He doesn't disappoint.
JULIEN AZAR
KEYBOARDS
With fingers dancing across the keys and a soul steeped in vintage vibes, Julien is the quintessential classic rock keyboardist.
Their musical journey began in a home studio "Studio Recco", where the organ’s growl and the electric piano’s shimmer ignited their passion.
Born into a world of vinyl records and psychedelic posters, Julien found solace in the harmonies of bands like Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, and Deep Purple.
As fate would have it, Julien joined forces with REWIND, the band that channeled the spirit of rock’s golden era. Julien's fingers became a conduit for magical blend of bluesy riffs, haunting Mellotron chords, and searing synth solos.
Rock on! Go "Into Space", live the "Cosmic Dream" and make "Wonders" happen.
RAUL BAUZA
GUITAR
Raul started his relationship with music by studying classical guitar at age 11.
He formed his band at age 15 and made his first performance on stage. Since then, he began his musical career by performing live, participating in record productions, touring internationally and teaching music.
He obtained a degree as Electronic Engineer, focusing the sound from a deeper perspective.
Originally from Argentina, Raul traveled extensively through Europe, Africa and the Americas absorbing each musical style he encountered, including rock, jazz, flamenco and tango.
Raul oscillates between the worlds of improvisation and composition. His style is a balanced mix of rock, funk and fusion.
“Life is better when you’re playing guitar”
STEVE THOMSON
BASS GUITAR
Steve started out taking keyboard lessons as a young boy and when he played at recitals always got the warmest applause. They all knew he was something special.
Ever the restless soul Steve chose to switch to bass in his teens after growing up listening to Led Zeppelin, Cream and Rush. Before long he was jamming with local musicians and the offers to join their bands started rolling in.
Steve has been at it for thirty years and his passion for the instrument shows through in his playing. He’s spent time with veteran musicians and worked hard to add backing vocals to his skill set. Every band needs a strong foundation to hold it all together and Steve brings it every show!
GINO GIUDITTA
DRUMS
It all started in the 70's when Gino was 5yrs old after attending a family member's wedding.
He began banging on his mother's pots and pans using wooden spoons as soon as they arrived home that evening. This new love of percussion (drums) soon became a problem. Coming from an Italian family, his mother made pasta and sauce, hence the daily dilemma of having to pry her pots and pans from Gino became a bit of an issue.
Having received a few kid's drum kits as Christmas presents, including a BEATLES one he wishes he kept, his parents reluctantly gave in and bought him his first "real" 3-piece Drum kit after a losing battle of trying to convince him to play the beloved accordion instead.
Gino became involved in a few High School Garage Bands and later joined a Genesis Clone Band called DUKE, in his college days.
His love of LIVE performances continued with his previous groups such as IMAGE, SILHOUETTE and INFINITY, performing for local weddings, corporate and dinner/dance functions.
Gino's music interests growing up consisted of Classic Italian, Progressive Rock, Modern Jazz, Motown
and good Elevator Music.
